Only Robert receives bipartisan support:

“Robert has been an effective advocate and champion for safe neighborhoods, fiscally responsible budgeting, for finding solutions to Orlando’s homelessness challenge and for increasing and renewing our parks and green spaces. As a supporter of Orlando’s Main Street programs, Robert has helped us renew and revitalize neighborhood commercial districts and create thousands of new jobs.

Even before he was elected to the City Council, Robert has been serving people and building community. For 46 years, he has been a volunteer coach and umpire for Little League baseball.

For 22 years, as Executive Director of Orlando’s Christian Service Center, Robert helps provide 400,000 meals a year to Orlando’s most vulnerable. When he learned that so many students were often coming to school hungry, he created “The Love Pantry,” which is now serving 69 schools and providing food to more than 24,000 students and families.”

ORLANDO MAYOR BUDDY DYER

As Orlando residents and former mayors, we have known and worked with Stuart and his family for many years. He is a man of integrity, compassion, and action. As a small business owner, committed community volunteer (passionately leading everything from his kids’ PTAs, to regional chambers of commerce, and the original Regional Commission on Homelessness), and non-profit leader, Stuart dedicated his life and time to Orlando well before he was elected to office. His election to the City Council was a natural extension to his life of service, not the pursuit of a “career politician” or someone looking to climb the public ladder.

While Mayor, both of us looked to Stuart for leadership on important issues facing our city. Each and every time he joyfully jumped into action leading the way on matters of critical importance to the future of Orlando.

This is a great city we are proud to have served and led in years past. During the last decade we have seen amazing growth, increased safety, enhancements to our quality of life, and the continued development of a culture of compassion, inclusion, and diversity. Stuart has led on all of those issues and more. For these reasons and so many others, Stuart should continue leading on the Orlando City Council. We are proud to support him.

FORMER MAYOR GLENDA HOOD and FORMER MAYOR BILL FREDERICK

“I worked with Robert for years and support him because he has been an effective advocate for our first responders, strong and safe neighborhoods, and ensuring that the most vulnerable are not forgotten.”

VAL DEMINGS, CONGRESSWOMAN and FORMER ORLANDO POLICE CHIEF

“Robert Stuart has my support because he’s a fiscally conservative commissioner, who also puts his faith into action through his work at Christian Service Center. They serve over 400,000 meals a year to those in need — and they do it without government funding!”

MIKE MILLER, STATE REPRESENTATIVE

“While some talk about how much they care, Robert Stuart shows it through action. He created Love Pantry, a privately funded charity that makes sure children and families in need have something to eat when school is out. And, we have partnered together to beautify and landscape the Rosemont area and the Orange Blossom Trail.”

BRYAN NELSON, COUNTY COMMISSIONER

“Robert Stuart leads by serving others and he doesn’t worry about getting credit as long as the job gets done. As Commissioner, he works hard to root out wasteful spending and stop overregulation that gets in the way of job growth. As a business leader, he puts his faith into action through his work at the Christian Service Center, where they help feed thousands of people every year.”
