Mark Twain said, “Facts are stubborn, but statistics are more pliable.” Fact: residential burglaries and car break-ins are down in College Park from last year. Reality: one review of the social media site Nextdoor and one can see a crime has been committed virtually every day during the month of September in College Park.

Orlando Police Captain Sue Brown, who oversees patrols for the College Park area, says not to make College Park a “target rich area.” In other words, lock your car doors and remove valuables from site. Brown shared that during a recent Operation Lock Up, the police visited the Dubsdread area and found 32 of 83 cars unlocked. One high-end vehicle actually had the car keys sitting on the front seat.
